As a resident of Coquitlam for the past nine years, I am proud to offer my wholehearted endorsement of Trish Mandewo for Mayor.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of watching Coquitlam continue to grow into a vibrant, inclusive, and thriving community. Throughout that time, Trish has been a visible and dedicated leader who has consistently demonstrated her commitment to serving residents and strengthening our city. As a two-term City Councillor and former President of the Union of BC Municipalities, she has brought experience, credibility, and a collaborative approach to addressing the needs of our community.

What stands out most about Trish is her ability to lead with both vision and heart. She understands that building a strong city is about more than infrastructure and growth. It is about ensuring people feel connected, supported, and proud of where they live. Through her leadership on community safety, recreation, culture, economic development, and multiculturalism initiatives, she has demonstrated a genuine commitment to creating opportunities for everyone to succeed and belong.

As a resident, I have seen firsthand the positive impact of the investments and priorities that continue to make Coquitlam an exceptional place to live, work, and raise a family. Trish has been a strong advocate for community-building, public engagement, and thoughtful decision-making that balances growth with the needs of residents. Her dedication to public service and her ability to bring people together have earned her the respect of colleagues, community organizations, and local government leaders across British Columbia.

Trish's impressive record of service, including leadership roles on numerous public and nonprofit boards, reflects her passion for governance, accountability, and making meaningful change. Her recent recognitions, including the King Charles III Coronation Medal and Canada's Top 100 Accomplished Black Women, further demonstrate the impact of her contributions both locally and nationally.

As someone who cares deeply about the future of Coquitlam, I believe Trish possesses the experience, integrity, and vision needed to lead our city into its next chapter. She is a leader who listens, collaborates, and works tirelessly to ensure decisions are made in the best interests of the community.
