Iris Sun, Ph.D.

I have known Trish for close to a decade through my civic and community involvement in Coquitlam, including eight years serving on the City’s Multiculturalism Advisory Committee and my work with the Coquitlam Foundation.

Over the years, I have come to know Trish as a knowledgeable and passionate community leader who genuinely cares about people and the community she serves. In my experience, she approaches public service with a strong sense of responsibility and a clear focus on the public interest.

As a longtime Coquitlam resident and consultant who has spent over 15 years working with social-service organizations and vulnerable communities, I particularly value her understanding of diverse community needs and her appreciation for evidence-informed decision-making. She also brings substantial governance experience and a broader perspective from serving beyond the municipal level—experience that informs how she approaches the opportunities and challenges facing our community.

I’m proud to support Trish in her campaign for Mayor of Coquitlam and grateful for the experience, perspective, and commitment to public service she continues to bring to our community.
